On Ukraine’s Independence Day of Aug. 24, the International Center for Ukrainian Victory (ICUV), Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) and Army of Communities are calling on friends of Ukraine and friends of Ukraine everywhere to make the world hear us.
This year, we will mark the day with a loud, united call to action. The Whistle of Survival flash mob is more than noise, it’s a survival tool, a lifeline for those trapped under rubble after Russian attacks.
If the world hears this whistle, it is not too late to act: provide weapons, close the sky, save lives.
Participants will gather at designated locations with whistles and simultaneously send out the international SOS signal in Morse code. On this day, the whistle will not be a cry for help, but a call to defend.
Photos and videos from the event will be shared across global media with the core message: Break the Silence. Arm Ukraine. The UWC stresses that silence kills, and the voice of freedom must be heard around the world.
