The International Center for Ukrainian Victory (ICUV) is a public diplomacy platform and think-and-do tank established in Warsaw in March 2022 with the support of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, based on the cooperation of the Anti-Corruption Action Center (AntAC), ANTS, and the Civil Network OPORA. ICUV was co-founded by Hanna Hopko, Olena Halushka, Daria Kaleniuk, and Olha Aivazovska. ICUV’s mission is to mobilize international support for Ukraine’s victory, promote Ukrainian interests globally, and strengthen the role of Ukrainian civil society in international discussions on security, justice, and democracy.
ICUV runs international advocacy campaigns, produces analytical materials, organizes advocacy visits, and works closely with policymakers, media, think tanks, and Ukrainian communities abroad.

We are looking for a person who will help ICUV become more vocal, strategic, and more influential both in Ukraine and internationally. This role is for a proactive and self-sufficient person who can transform complex topics into strong campaigns, expand outreach, and build a recognizable voice for the organization.

It is important for us that this person can both develop the organization’s brand and amplify the voices of strong Ukrainian experts, and civil society leaders who drive change in Ukraine and globally every day.

This position is opening as the current Head of Communications transitions into a new role within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing and adjusting the organization’s communications strategy
  • Developing ICUV’s brand in Ukraine and internationally
  • Providing communications support for advocacy campaigns and international initiatives
  • Writing content in Ukrainian and English across different formats, including: social media, website articles, op-eds, media pitches, speaking points, advocacy materials
  • Pitching stories, commentary, and materials to Ukrainian and international media
  • Expanding and maintaining networks of journalists and partners
  • Managing communications special projects and campaigns
  • Coordinating contractors, including designers, video editors, external consultants, etc.
  • Developing concepts for events and public campaigns and coordinating their implementation
  • Organizing closed briefings and media events
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions and creative concept development
  • Maintaining and updating media databases

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in communications, PR, advocacy, or media relations
  • Strong managerial and organizational skills
  • Experience coordinating contractors and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluent Ukrainian and working English (minimum B2; strong written English is essential)
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt tone of voice to different audiences
  • Ability to prepare creative briefs and oversee visual content production
  • Understanding of international politics, security, and sanctions policy is an advantage
  • Familiarity with international media and the advocacy ecosystem is an advantage
  • Independence, proactiveness, and the ability to make decisions quickly
