Ukraine’s Resilience and Reforms: Voices from Civil Society
Also available in:Ua

On Ukraine’s Independence Day, the event “Ukraine’s Resilience and Reforms: Voices from Civil Society” brought together parliamentarians from different countries, the group United for Ukraine (U4U), and representatives of Ukrainian civil society.

We discussed the key challenges and tasks facing Ukraine and its international partners. The focus was on the voices of those who have defended Ukraine’s independence since the first days of the full-scale invasion and who continue to contribute to the country’s recovery through civic leadership, entrepreneurship, and advocacy.

During the discussion, participants emphasized:

  • the need to implement real and effective sanctions against Russia’s economy and banking system;
  • the confiscation of Russian assets within the framework of the #MakeRussiaPay campaign;
  • Ukraine’s unconditional victory as the key to lasting European security and a just, sustainable peace;
  • the recognition of the genocidal nature of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Among the speakers were ICUV representatives Hanna Hopko and Olena Halushka, who also moderated the panel discussions. They emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts between international partners and Ukrainian initiatives to accelerate decisions that directly impact the course of the war and the future of Ukraine.
