The Voices of Children Foundation extend the deepest gratitude for your continuous support of Ukraine in its defense against Russia’s unprovoked invasion and would like to invite you to a public event focused on issues of justice and accountability for international crimes and other grave violations of international law.
The Kingdom of Netherlands is one of the global leaders in supporting Ukraine, particularly in advancing justice for crimes committed by Russia — an effort that has become a key element of the security agreements between our two states. Today, it is more important than ever for voices of truth to resonate clearly, as holding war criminals accountable is a fundamental prerequisite for sustainable peace in Europe and a vital safeguard for preventing future conflicts.
This public event will focus on the devastating impact of the war, with a particular emphasis on the personal experiences of civilians and children, expert analysis of the challenges in establishing a tribunal to prosecute the crime of aggression and examine the practical implementation of security agreements between the Netherlands and Ukraine.
Key discussion topics will include the war’s effects on children, the long-term implications of war crimes and crimes against humanity for future generations, and a broader exploration of the war’s genocidal aspects, including the need for accountability for the crime of aggression.
The event will also feature an exhibition of children’s drawings accompanied by their written messages in the hallways near the venue. This exhibition will offer a powerful visual and emotional insight into the war’s impact on Ukraine’s youngest citizens.
