For the second year in a row, ICUV presented a separate Ukrainian component at Warsaw Security Forum, dedicated to advocating for Ukrainian victory.
At the 147th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which took place in the Angolan capital, Luanda, Ukrainian human rights activists and parliamentarians, along with colleagues from 30 other countries, discussed crimes against children and violations of their key human rights during military conflicts.
The documented damages of the first year of the full-scale Russian war as of March 2023 reached $411 billion. Russian destruction of the Kakhovka Dam alone has caused almost $14 billion in additional damages. By now, the largest burden of funding of Ukraine’s self-defense and recovery efforts has been falling on the shoulders of Ukrainians and Western partners. It is time to finally Make Russia pay.
To draw the world's attention to this significant issue, we invited former prisoners of war, active Ukrainian military to tell their stories at the Warsaw Security Forum. For two days, they had the opportunity to tell their personal stories of the fear and torture they suffered at the hands of the Russians.
