On May 10–11, 2026, the ICUV team participated in the Nordic Ukraine Advocacy Summit 2026 (NUAS) in Copenhagen—an independent high-level forum that brings together civil society organizations from the Nordic countries and Ukraine each year to strengthen coordinated support for Ukraine and regional security.

This year, ICUV was represented at the summit by Vlada Dumenko and Iryna Krasnoshtan. Over the course of two days, participants discussed the challenges facing democratic societies during wartime, shared their experiences, and explored new formats for joint advocacy between Ukraine and the NB8 countries.

The topic of the 2026 summit is “Lasting Peace Through Democratic Resilience: A Comprehensive Partnership Between the Nordic Countries and Ukraine.” Discussions focused on how strong institutions, civic engagement, independent media, and social cohesion can serve as the foundation for a just and lasting peace.

For ICUV, NUAS has become an important platform for exchanging experiences and forging new partnerships. We met with representatives from organizations across various countries, discussed shared challenges, shared success stories, and sought common ground for future campaigns. Every year, more and more European organizations working to support Ukraine’s victory and European security join the summit.

The ICUV team presented the key priorities of our international advocacy efforts:

  • the confiscation of Russian assets as part of the #MakeRussiaPay campaign;
  • sanctions against Rosatom and countering Russian nuclear terrorism;
  • protection of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Ukraine’s integration into the European security architecture, and advocacy for #SkyShieldNow;
  • development of joint advocacy campaigns between organizations from the NB8 countries and Ukraine as a foundation for future systematic cooperation among states.

“Together, we stand united, speak with one voice, and support one another in pursuit of a single goal—Ukraine’s victory.”

Vlada Dumenko, Head of Communications at ICUV

At a time when Europe’s security depends directly on Ukraine’s victory, it is precisely these platforms that lay the groundwork for long-term international cooperation. We thank the Nordic Ukraine Advocacy Summit and all our partners for working together toward a just peace and a secure, democratic future.
