Around the world, people are gathering in front of U.S. embassies to protest the imposed “peace” plan for Ukraine. While Washington and Moscow discuss the future of Europe and Ukraine without the country’s participation, global outrage is rising. Activists are taking to the streets in many countries including Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and EU member states, including Brussels. At the same time, protests are unfolding in dozens of U.S. cities, where people are standing against Ukraine’s forced capitulation.
Protesters stress that the proposed “peace plan,” which would force Ukraine to abandon its defensive positions, cede territory, and compromise its sovereignty, while splitting the EU’s frozen assets between the U.S. and Russia, is far from a path to peace and instead lays the groundwork for future war.
“Russia wants to extend its empire and influence further. Do not stay silent! Take to the streets in your country, in your city, and show that it will not work to cynically force Ukraine into capitulation! We have dignity, and the whole world stands with us. Right now, people across Europe, the United States, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom are showing that peace in Ukraine must be just, and that any attempt to force capitulation is unacceptable,”
Vlada Dumenko, Head of Communications at ICUV and co-coordinator of the global Don’t Sell Out Ukraine actions.
Protests have taken place in multiple countries, including Belgium (Brussels), Sweden (Stockholm), Canada (Ottawa), the United Kingdom (London), Australia (Sydney), Lithuania (Vilnius), the Czech Republic (Prague), Finland (Helsinki), and Germany (Berlin).
Belgium (Brussels)
On Monday, around 50 people gathered outside the U.S. Embassy in Brussels to protest the so-called “peace agreement” proposed by President Donald Trump regarding Ukraine. The organizer and activist Olena Kuzhym emphasized that approving the agreement in its current form poses a serious threat to both Ukraine and the wider European region. According to her, this “peace formula” effectively legitimizes Russian aggression and undermines regional security.
“As Ukraine’s security directly translates into the security of the European continent, we call on Europe to take back control over it. Europe needs to be united and proactive in pushing back against US-Russian attempts to decide its future behind its back”
Olena Kuzhym, coordinator of the Brussels protest, “Europe, Take Back Control: Brussels Against the U.S. ‘Peace’ Deal.”

Sweden (Stockholm)
In Stockholm, protesters held signs with clear slogans such as “Appeasement is not peace” and “Don’t sell out Ukraine.” The organizers from the Nordic Ukraine Forum thanked activists from Plast Sweden, the Ukrainian Volunteer Hub Stockholm, Ukraina Solidaritet, as well as all participants who joined the initiative to show their support for Ukraine.

Canada (Ottawa)
Activists gathered outside the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa to protest any decisions about Ukraine’s future being made without its consent. They held powerful signs declaring: “Nothing About Ukraine Without Ukraine,” “Compromise = Concessions on Both Sides,” “Genocidal Occupation is War,” “Demilitarize the Aggressor, Not the Victim,” “Make Ukraine a Fortress,” and “Make Russia Pay.” An artist drew the Ukrainian coat of arms on the pavement with chalk, symbolizing resilience and unwavering strength.

Australia (Sydney)
Activists gathered outside the U.S. Consulate for a protest under the slogan #NoNewMunich1938.

Germany (Berlin)
In Berlin, people took part in a protest outside the Federal Chancellor’s office. Key demands at the demonstration included providing Ukraine with additional air defense systems, supporting its energy infrastructure, which remains a target of Russian strikes, and a complete halt to the import of Russian oil, pipeline gas, and liquefied natural gas.
CDU Bundestag member Roderich Kiesewetter joined the protest, highlighting the importance of helping Ukraine safeguard its territorial integrity. He added that “Russia must finally learn to accept defeat” and acknowledge the right of all its neighboring countries to exist.
“Otherwise, this war could spread to Moldova, the Baltic states, and across the entire European Union.”
Roderich Kiesewetter, CDU Bundestag member

Finland (Helsinki)
Ukrainalaisten yhdistys Suomessa ry (Ukrainian Assoсiation in Finland) gathered in front of the U.S. Embassy in Helsinki to share the message: the so-called “peace plan,” which legitimizes Russian aggression against Ukraine, is unacceptable.
Lasting peace cannot be built by rewarding an aggressor with territory or granting amnesty for war crimes. Appeasement is not peace!

Czech Republic
Civic rallies were held in Prague, Brno, Jičín, Opava, Česká Lípa, and Teplice. The organizers also emphasized the role of European countries. “In Europe, we must pull ourselves together — approve the reparations loan, support joint air-defense efforts (SkyShield for Ukraine), and deliver everything necessary for the defense of Ukraine and Europe,” they state.
The Prague program in front of the U.S. Embassy included several short speeches. Among the most prominent speakers were Pavel Kosatík, Mikuláš Kroupa, Anastasiia Sihnaievska, and Mikuláš Minář.

Protests have taken place in dozens of cities around the world. We sincerely thank all organizers and participants for their genuine support of Ukraine. Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine!
