Hanna Hopko, co-founder of ICUV, made a visit to the United States. During the trip, Hanna joined strategic meetings with leading American politicians, diplomats and opinion leaders to strengthen Ukraine’s voice in the international arena and call for consistent support in the fight against Russian aggression.

One of the key events of the visit was the Ukraine Action Summit, Spring 2025, a large-scale public event that brought together more than 500 delegates from all 50 states in Washington. Activists, veterans, religious leaders, Ukrainian representatives and allies of Ukraine called on Congress and the White House to provide strong and long-term support for the Ukrainian people.

The main messages of the Summit were clear and urgent:

  • Strengthening Ukraine’s defense support
  • The return of deported children and prisoners of war
  • Increasing sanctions pressure on Russia
  • Guarantees that prevent the aggressor from restarting the war

A special part of the visit was a trip to the newly established Saint Gabriel’s Institute, where Hanna met with participants of the UGCC’s Communication and Diplomacy Programme. The evening service was an opportunity to unite in prayer and strengthen spiritual support in the struggle.

In a joint prayer, we asked God to give us strength and wisdom to win!

Hanna Hopko, co-founder of ICUV

The support of the United States remains critical to our defence capability, economic resilience and victory in the fight for freedom. Today, more than ever, we need to remind the world that the war is still going on, the aggressor is still unpunished, and Ukraine needs weapons, sanctions, and decisive action.
