Appeal to Western decision-makers to prevent a massive humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine

Appeal to Western decision-makers to prevent a massive humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine

Statements 24.11.2022

Ukraine’s critical energy assets need a serious and fast recovery promptly. This means the need for an urgent supply of autotransformers of 750kV and 330kV and other energy equipment.

Last but not least, we call on all democratic states to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, as their ongoing terror campaign against peaceful Ukrainians should be named appropriately.

Ukraine’s humanitarian disaster today will turn into a horror for the whole of Europe tomorrow.

Sanctions are possible against Rosatom in the context of the russian nuclear power plant seized

Policy papers 20.11.2022

The international working group on the issue of sanctions against russia (the McFaul-Yermak group) in its “Action Plan...” dated April 19 provided for sanctions against Rosatom. But it is not in any of the accepted 7 sanctions packages. At the same time, the issue of Western sanctions against Rosatom is sensitive for russia, as the corporation's statement dated August 19, 2022 shows.
